The Horizon Europe – Mediterranean Initiative II witnessed an impressive milestone this week with the successful delivery of two webinars held on

Organised to promote regional cooperation in research and innovation (R&I), the webinars attracted over 600 registered participants, with more than 250 active online attendees across both sessions. The events kicked off with an opening address by Ms. Nienke Buisman, Head of Unit – Asia, Pacific, Africa & the Middle East, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, European Commission. Her remarks highlighted the growing importance of science diplomacy and cross-Mediterranean collaboration, and provided key insights into current EU policy developments in the region.
