Regarding organizing remote training days to accompany higher education institutions on how to select digital infrastructure for the transition to a fourth-generation university under the title “Transforming Algerian Universities: The University 4.0 Master Class”
Respected heads of model higher education institutions
In implementation of the guiding plan for the transition to University 4.0 in its first phase, related to strategic alignment, modernization of digital infrastructure, and launch of leading model universities, the National Committee for the Transition to University 4.0 intends to organize a national series of three seminars via remote lecture technology for a period of three weeks under the title: “Transforming Algerian Universities: The University 4.0 Master Class”. This series will be primarily intended for the benefit of all higher education institutions, with the aim of gradually accompanying them in line with their level of progress in the digital and institutional transformation process. This initiative aims to:
· Enhancing the consistency of university institutions’ strategies with national trends in the field of digitization, quality of education, and smart governance;
· Presenting the integrated model of the smart campus based on converged digital infrastructure ((SDN, Wi-Fi 7, FTTO), virtual data centers, smart educational platforms (Smart Classrooms 3.0, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual and Augmented Reality), and a unified information security system;
· Enabling universities to identify their technical, organizational and human needs according to their degree of digital maturity;
· Preparing an implementation roadmap for the period 2026-2027, including network modernization, digitization of administration, and adoption of data-driven management mechanisms;
· Supporting national digital sovereignty by ensuring data localization and respecting national cybersecurity standards
These meetings are organized in partnership with the National Center for Media and Communication Technologies (CETIC) and Huawei, to move to the practical implementation stage.
Accordingly, we ask you to assign the head of the local committee to transfer to the university from the fourth generation for each model university institution, and also the person responsible for the process of adapting the digital structures at the level of your university institution, to attend the training sessions via the link https://meet.google.com/iqx-jsnx-zij from 10:00 to 12:00 in the morning according to the following program
· March 4, 2026: Aligning the institutional strategy with national ambitions
· March 15, 2026: Reinventing education, research and data-driven governance
