The Laboratory of Biotechnology of Rhizobia and Plant Breeding (LBRAP), University of Oran 1, is pleased to announce the official launch of a new international project within the framework of the Algerian–European cooperation programme IPTICAR.
This project brings together the University of Oran 1, represented by LBRAP, and the University of Florence (Italy), in partnership with several Italian research institutions and organizations.
The project aims to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation between Algerian and Italian universities in the fields of agricultural and environmental biotechnology, agroecology, environmental sustainability, and sustainable agriculture. It seeks to support joint research and innovation initiatives, promote the mobility of researchers, Master and PhD students, enhance their scientific and professional capacities, encourage entrepreneurship and the development of start-ups, and foster collaboration with socio-economic stakeholders.
The project will contribute to the enhancement of the academic curricula of the Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology programmes while creating new opportunities for Master and PhD students through international training, supervision, and scientific exchange activities, thereby strengthening their research skills and integration into international scientific networks.
In this context, our laboratory will have the honour of hosting the scientific event entitled:
“IPIPTICAR – Towards Exchange of the Experience and Interests
in AGRI-ENVIRONMENTAL BIOTECHNOLOGY
This event will provide a platform for scientific dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among researchers, academic partners, and socio-economic stakeholders from Algeria and Italy.
The project is expected to generate sustainable scientific, economic, and environmental impacts through the development of international partnerships and the preparation of competitive projects funded at both national and European levels, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development and food security goals.
