linux and free software school for doctoral students

 

The National Commission of Free Software in collaboration with the University Ahmed Ben bella-Oran1 organize a linux and free software school for doctoral students of all disciplines. No prerequisites are required for participation in this School.

The objective is to introduce participants to the philosophy and practice of open source software.

The programme is structured around the following themes:

1. Installation and discovery of Linux as an example of free software.

2. Free writing tools.

3. Miscellaneous tools (courier, survey, etc.)

4. Free development tools (python, octave, etc).

5. Introduction to system and network administration.

The methodology is practice-oriented, and it is strongly recommended that participants bring their laptops.
