It is an award established by the UNESCO Executive Board, to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as well as UNESCO’s global priorities.
This prize is funded by the Republic of Equatorial Guinea; the award is awarded annually to a maximum of three winners. The UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences rewards the significant efforts of individuals or institutions through scientific research towards improving the quality of human life.
The Prize is awarded annually to a maximum of three winners, selected by the Director-General of UNESCO on the basis of the evaluations and recommendations of the international jury.
Applications should be sent via prg.coopr@mesrs.dz, which will be forwarded to the UNESCO National Commission in Algiers, which will send them to UNESCO.
